Back to Normal

Heath FINALLY got home on Saturday. I was worried that Braelyn wouldn't remember him, but she did fine.

I've tried explaining to Heath that Braelyn is getting to be a wiggle worm in church. He started to understand yesterday at church. She was all over the place. She's also figured out that she can be loud. When the opening song started, so did Braelyn. She loves to "sing" but hasn't figured out that she can also be quiet.

Last night I went out for dinner and a movie with one of my best friends, Shawna, and Braelyn gave Heath one heck of a time. He told me she kept looking around and screaming for me. I felt bad. I doubt I'll be able to leave her anytime soon ;). Shawna and I went to Jersey's to eat and then to Get Smart. Very funny movie! We laughed pretty hard. But then again, when don't we? I always have a good time with Shawna.

Tomorrow Summer, Seth, Meredith, Elise, Braelyn, and I are going to the Sioux Falls Zoo! I'm pretty excited. I haven't been there since grade school! I'm sure things have changed quite a bit. We're leaving in the morning and hoping that it doesn't get too hot.

Giving it a try

This is something new for me. I decided to start a blog because my husband will be getting deployed (most likely) and I figured this is a way for him to stay updated with what's going on in our home.

Heath has been gone to annual training for the Guards since June 4th. Pretty sure it's time for him to come home. He's supposed to be home sometime tomorrow. Thank goodness! While he's been gone this is what has gone wrong: Braelyn threw up all over (and when I say all over I mean ALL OVER) in the car on the way to her doctor's appointment, she got a 102 fever b/c of her shots and threw up some more when we got to my grandparent's house, water in the basement and in the 3 seasons porch b/c of rain, water in the basement b/c of humidity, AC broke, flat tire, and I'm sure there's more but those were the major things that happened.
Braelyn starting crawling last Sunday. Heath has yet to see it but that was my goal (to get her to crawl before he got home). She's been getting up and rocking back and forth for a month but wouldn't move! Ugh! Finally, Sunday morning, she didn't want to stay in her room while I threw something away so she followed me out! I was so proud!
I guess this is all for my first post!
